MSK AI

Multimodal ultrasound AI for musculoskeletal imaging

Millions suffer from delayed or inaccurate musculoskeletal diagnoses due to limited access to expert ultrasound interpretation. Our project leverages AI to assist clinicians in real-time, improving diagnostic speed and accuracy. We're building a scalable, accessible solution to close the MSK imaging gap globally.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions affect over 1.7 billion people globally, yet access to accurate ultrasound diagnostics remains limited especially in primary care, sports medicine, and low-resource settings. Many clinicians lack the training or time to interpret MSK ultrasound images effectively, leading to delayed diagnoses, unnecessary referrals, and increased healthcare costs.

We're building an AI-powered assistant that integrates with existing ultrasound machines to provide real-time guidance and interpretation support for MSK scans. Using computer vision and models like MedGemma, our tool can identify anatomical structures, flag abnormalities, and generate structured reports—all while preserving clinician autonomy.

To bring this vision to life during the hackathon, I’m looking for collaborators
